Its structure is slender, pine tree-shaped, and its branches are flexible, with a medium internode distance.
Plants are naturally adapted to cold weather, since in winter it snows regularly at its zone of origin in the heights of Lesotho.
It is called "Matekoane" by locals, and is famous for its healing properties, being used by farmers to treat high blood pressure, asthma and during childbirth, as well as pest control for animals.

Its aroma combines earthy notes with coffee and acidic lemon, and it gives an energetic yet relaxing effect, cerebral and psychoactive, offering a pleasant sensation of well being.
