Bananazz is strawberry banana x tangie. side cross made during the reproduction of the tangie male. it was tested outdoors with very good results.
this f1 was never released as a fuzzy genetics variety, but some of the plants were used in outcrosses and in the f2 reproduction. they were uniform in growth, with two main phenotypes: one with an orange candy smell and the other one was sweet but earthy.
all of the plants were numbered and included in the f2 reproduction, but only one selected male and female were used in outcrosses.
important phenotypes:
b1: female. aka bananazz, the clone. good bag appeal with a sweet smell and a slight banana undertone, strong earthy taste.
b2: female. first pheno known as "suguzz". creamy orange phenotype, very tasty.
b5: female. similar to b2, with a slight earthy undertone.
b7: male. keeper.
b8: similar to b1.
b9: male. keeper.
b10: male. keeper. males were very similar, with compact flowers and creamy aromas in late flowering, but this was the selected male for outcrosses for being sturdy and very easy to clone.
b14: female. selected keeper. looks like b1 but smokes like b2. mother of suguzz.
some other phenos were used in the f2, usually in between b1 and b2 for the females and males were very uniform in general
