After years of testing and experimenting with many different varieties, Global Seeds was founded in 1990 (known as the amsterdam seedshop). Since then Global Seeds got involved in the research for better quality strains. This took place at several indoor & outdoor locations in Holland. Global Seeds aim was to create better strains for themselves and some good friends known as the early pioneers in Dutch cannabis growing.

Afghan seeds have been crossed in Holland with Indica and Sativa varieties since 1983. The earlier purple strains did not grow so well in cold and wet climates. The new Purple Dream is fully adapted to such climates and has a respectable yield. Purple Dream is easy to grow. Purple Dream Buds are dark purple and have a strong aroma.
