The first ever growshop in the Netherlands was founded by the Potfather of the Cannabis and Coffeeshop Culture, Wernard Bruining, he named it Positronics. The Positronics Growshop came with a proper variety of seeds, based on the varieties Wernard selected in the early days, like Skunk #1, Northern Lights, White Widow and all the other old school strains. Positronics went bankrupt in 1996, Wernard collapsed and the seedbank was split up by former employees and others. Sebastian, the owner of the 'El punto eres tu' growshop in Malaga was and is a huge fan of Wernard and his accomplishments. I introduced them to one and other on our farm in Alora, during which encounter Sebastian suggested to Wernard to re-introduce Positronics seeds on the Spanish market to start with. Wernard liked the idea, so things started to roll, he supplied Sebas with batches of his old school seeds. He gave Sebas permission to set up a line of feminized seeds, based on Positronics genetics. It started as a tribute to the founder of Positronics, Wernard Bruining, recognised pioneer of the cannabis sector. It was given as a gift in the form of a single seed promotion to share with the growers that visited us year after year at the numerous events and fairs; who continued purchasing their favourite varieties in their regular grow shops. With this objective, we carried out a careful selection and development of two varieties that stood out due to their great strength, among many other characteristics: Afghan Express and our very highly acclaimed clone, the AK 47. With so many growers sending us very positive comments about the production and flavour, we created this Express strain, in a format of 5 seeds and at an affordable price. The plant has a medium-high stature, with vigorous growth forming regular branches all over. These branches will be covered in compact and resinous flowers, releasing a mild but sweet odour that will remind you of the typical Skunk aroma that is highlighted in them. Easy to grow, it doesn’t require a lot of fertilisation, a good substrate is sufficient for growth, but when it comes to flowering it’s recommended to assist it with the corresponding fertiliser. The harvest time is between 70-75 days. AROMA: The sweetest of the Skunks, mild but penetrating. FLAVOUR: We notice a Afghan tinge, mildly sweet at the beginning but with a smooth and long lasting finish.
