Khalifa Genetics is a small group of passionate breeders who all share a common vision: Creating the most unique varieties while breeding with old landraces and rare strains.Because we want growers to enjoy highly stable genetics, we have chosen to only offer very few highly worked strains rather than dozens of unstable polyhybrid crosses with a hype name. The uniqueness of the aromas, the most exquisite smells and the quality of the experience is what we are after. You won’t find any Tropicana Gelato Cake seeds here. But what we offer is a fine collection of stable true F1 hybrids as well as mythical landrace varieties from the Orient. Each true F1 we have on our catalog is the fruit of many years of hard work. Each and every one of them results from a cross between landraces or rare strains we carefully selected and stabilized over many generations. We will never make any of our varieties available to our customers unless it has been thoroughly tested.Because customer satisfaction matters tremendously to us, we only release strains that we think are absolutely outstanding. We also offer landrace varieties because these are part of our heritage as humans. These strains have been around for thousands of years but they are now quickly disappearing due to eradication campaigns and contamination by modern hybrids. Because they have adapted to the environments where people would grow them all over the world, these landraces have developed certain particularities. That is why they can be very interesting to breeders and collectors alike.

Also known as Kief, the Moroccan Beldia is the variety Riffian farmers used for decades to produce the old school blond/chocolaty Moroccan hash. This landrace strain is easy to grow both indoors and outdoors as it can withstand droughts, high temperatures and thrive in a poor soil. Its sweet honey smell and delicate floral and minty taste are unlike any other strain.Probably one of the fastest-flowering Sativas in the world, this plant is very well suited for outdoor cultivation. Because this variety has adapted to the harsh arid climate of the Moroccan Rif it can withstand high temperatures and thrive with very little water or nutrients. The plants are vigorous but do not grow many side branches which makes this strain highly suitable for Sea Of Green setups. Indoors, the Beldia finishes in only 7 to 9 weeks of flowering. Outdoors, the plants are ripe between the end of August and the end of September. The Moroccan Landrace is low-maintenance and is easy to grow both indoors and outdoors. The smoke is sweet and floral with minty and spicy undertones. The Beldia is a fast hitter with a clear joyful high that doesn’t last for too long. Its delicate smell is reminiscent of sweet honey. Our team collected these seeds years ago in several remote mountainous areas of the Chefchaouen province. In these locations, farmers were still only growing the old Moroccan Beldia. That is why this line is still very pure. These seeds are the result of 3 generations of open pollination. The goal was to decrease the proportion of weak plants and hermaphrodites while preserving the genetic diversity of this strain. The Moroccan Landrace is at least 800 years old and is now quickly disappearing from the Rif Mountains. Moroccan farmers have used it for hash-making since the 1960’s. Prior to that, they used to cultivate it for its fine flowers. Some old-timers in Morocco still like to smoke the kief flowers in their long wooden pipes.
