Skunk #1 was first introduced to Dutch cannabis growers in the 80's by an American grower who went under the name‘Sam the Skunkman’. The potency of this ‘skunk’ that was grown from the imported seeds completely overwhelmed the Dutch growers, as they were not used to see buds grow so big and resinous. It did not take long before this sensational new variety was being grown in greenhouses all over the country.Today, it is still often used as a breeding parent for crosses.The bud/leaf ratio makes manicuring fairly easy, even outdoors it produces significantly less leaf than most other strains. Flowering takes 8 to 9 weeks, when grown outdoor it generally finishes mid October.
